The first wakepark named in honor of Marvin John Himeyer was opened on the Chainoye Lake. There we installed the first winch for wakeboarding in Russia, the cables of which were attached to one of the coastal trees.
We joined forces with the leading kitesurfing school in St. Petersburg called Kitepiter.com and moved to the territory of the 7th Northern Fort where the highest 9-meter winch with the royal "kite" traction was installed. From there came the name Kingwinch.
Due to the termination of access to the 7th Fort, we were faced finding a new home for your favourite park, and Fort Constantine near the city of Kronstadt became this home.
By the end of 2013, two full-fledged reverse lines operated on the open water of the Gulf of Finland, which was washing the fort. The first obstacles were installed.
In winter, we had the idea of creating the first B-level jib-park in Russia. In April-2014, the design of the pools was completed, and construction work began. In the autumn of this year the park acquired its new image, and the first competitions "Fire, Water and Pipes" were held.
In 2015, we opened a winter pool project Kingwinch "MSG", which allowed to train not only in summer, but also in the off-season, excluding long breaks in wakeboarding.
The competition "Fire, Water and Pipes" in Kingwinch goes international. Wakeboard worldstar Daniel Grant comes to the Russia for the first time, and also a few more athletes from different countries.
The first franchise is opened at the recreation center in Otradnoye. In July, a park in the center of St. Petersburg — Ters Park joins the Kingwinch network. We start our own production of boards, and "Fire, Water and Pipes" become the largest extreme festival.
For the first time, Kingwinch is placing a mobile wakeboarding pool on the beach of St. Petersburg's 300th Anniversary Park as part of the #VKFEST festival. New parks of the network are under construction - in Sestroretsk, Crimea and on about. Mauritius. We are presenting the GetAction mobile application, which allows you to book skiing from any smartphone.
Kingwinch expands its geography - network parks are opened in Crimea and on Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. Competition "Fire, Water and Pipes" for the first time in Russia is shown in its entirety live on the federal TV channel MATCH TV.
The challenges of the global pandemic did not become an obstacle to the development of the project. A new park opens in the Golden Valley ski resort. A hotel is being built on the territory of the Rocky Lake Park in Crimea, the range of services of all parks is expanding.
We organized the first session of the Dagestan Wakesurf Camp. And we also began to pay more attention to the environment by selling electric motorcycles: at first it was Sur-ron, later Talaria was added. At the end of the year, we held a large-scale competition #MyKingwinchFigure for the best sketch of a new multifigure to be set in one of our parks.
For the first time after a three-year break, cable wakeboard competitions «PLASTIC & TOCHKA» were held in our B-level jib- park in Kronstadt. 2 successful sessions of the Dagestan Wakesurf Camp have been completed. Our Camp is now known literally by the whole Russian wakesurf community. Terrassa restaurant Kingwinch Bay is opened on the territory of the Kronstadt wakepark. Motorcycles showroom has also been started this year. This year we also finish a sportswear store development. And according to the results of the contest #MyFigureKingwinch, a new figure appears in the Kronstadt wakepark.
